Cher tried to help her local post offices – but it sounds like not even the Goddess of Pop could go into good old-fashioned bureaucratic hiring practices.
The singer tweeted Wednesday that she recently tried to offer her services to a few post offices in Malibu – as in volunteer work, ya know .. since the bureau these days punishes for cash, manpower and support under Trump’s administration. Sadly, she was brought back.
OK, 2 post offices mentioned In Malibu. They were polite.

She says the manager replied, “NO.” Apparently they need fingerprints and a background check even for a volunteer. Makes sense, we think … can not take Joe off the street. Then again, this is not Joe … this is Cher! And, she says she’s serious about helping.

This is kinda where we’re with the USPS these days – and it’s all because Trump has tried to dismantle the service from within … one of his cronies appointed to set it up while disconnect from mailboxes and sorting machines across the country.
Postmaster General Louis DeJoy has just done in about face, siswize he will stop after major changes to the Postal Service until after the election – to prevent the appearance of election dampening.
Good call. And, as far as Cher goes … getting her involved would not be such a bad idea either. She is known for her philanthropy – to be exact.
