Chelsea will receive a bonus when Eden Hazard’s Real Madrid win the La Liga title

Quarantine beard and hairy hair were nowhere to be seen last night, as a slim and fresh Eden Hazard started on the left wing in Real Madrid’s 2-1 victory over Villarreal, which confirmed the Galacticos as Champions of Spain for the first time in three years and only the second time since 2012.

It is the fourth league title of Eden’s career, after the one Lille has in both with Chelsea. Although it has not been a stellar (first) season in Spain for Hazard by any stretch of the imagination, in fact, comfortably, his worst season as a professional with just 1 goal in 21 appearances in all competitions, hampered by multiple injuries and occasional burger : ends on a good note for the 29-year-old. (Real are also still alive in the Champions League, which will resume next month.)

We are of course very happy that Eden wins a title with her childhood dream club, but we are even happier that the title also gives Chelsea a decent bonus, part of the easily achievable bonus package that was part of Hazard’s € 100m Transfer last summer.

Although the exact details are not known, and probably will never be known, the bond is said to be around € 15 million.

Thanks Eddie!

And yes, you too, T-BO.
