In its latest teardown video, iFixit distinguished the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, and found that the devices look very similar to each other from the inside. The display is interchangeable, got iFixit, and so has a 10.78 WH battery.
When they removed the camera marrow shield on the iPhone 12, the iFixit found a plastic spacer where the iPhone 12 Pro has its telephoto lens and leader sensor. Both devices have 12MP wide and ultra-wide cameras.
iFixit also examined X-rays (courtesy of Creative Electron) on the inside of phones, showing the MagSafe wireless charging array. The iPhone 12 Pro’s X-ray looks like a black border, but it’s a stainless steel frame (the iPhone 12 has an aluminum frame)
Speaking of the Repairability Score, IFXIT gave the iPhone 12 6 out of 10; Devices have a lot of screws when you are tinkering (which is better than ifixit note glue), and improved waterproofing can make repairs a bit more difficult, but will reduce the need to repair water damage. The biggest damage is to the front and rear glass of both devices, IFXIT said, adding that the phone is more likely to be damaged if left unattended.
