Stylers coach Mike Tomley gave some praise for the football team’s colorful defensive end Chase Young during Monday’s game.
In NFL Footage shots by Films, Tomlin approached Young on the field and told him that he would never choose enough picks to take someone like Young.
“I never want to lose enough games to get someone like you,” Tomley told Young. “You have to lose 14, 15 games to get someone who looks like you.”
And Washington shuffled Young with second overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft, and that’s the area where Tomlin won’t run. Tomlin became head coach of the Steelers in 2007, then the most announced was 10th overall in 2019, and he had to trade 20th to be selected. To get true elite prospects like Young, and Tomlin wants to keep it that way.
