Chaffetz Calls Hypocrisy From Democrats, Experts Who Criticized Trump’s Visit To Mount Rushmore


Fox News contributor Jason Chaffetz on Monday called critics of the Mount Rushmore monument who did not mention that Democrats like Hillary Clinton, former President Barack Obama, and Senator Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., Have previously visited the site. .

“In fact, Bernie Sanders said Mount Rushmore was the United States at its best,” Chaffetz told “America’s Newsroom.”

Chaffetz said allegations that Mount Rushmore symbolized white supremacy were never mentioned when Democrats visited the site.

“Then all of a sudden Donald Trump shows up and gives a patriotic speech at one of our country’s most important monuments and what all Democrats can talk about is how it’s supposed to be something about white supremacy,” said Chaffetz.

Chaffetz, a former Republican congressman from Utah, said Trump is “pro-law enforcement” and “pro-red, white and blue” is the right message. Chaffetz added that the charges that historic monuments must be reviewed for removal are “fundamentally wrong.”
