Chad Mendes and Michael Bisping are retired, but lately they have exchanged many words of struggle.
The fight between the fighters initially started after Mendes commented on a post made by Tim Kennedy on Instagram where he spoke about his 2014 victory over Bisping. The former middleweight champion then shot Mendes in a private message that he later revealed on his “Believe You Me” podcast.
“I saw Chad Mendes the little fucking shit, he went to Tim Kennedy’s page and called me ignorant, disrespectful and all these kinds of things,” Bisping said through Bloody Elbow. “You little steroid who cheats f * ck. Don’t be sour because your career was nothing. Ignorant and disrespectful? What, like disrespecting the sport by taking steroids disgracing yourself and your opponent in a sport in which someone could die? What a shame, you little idiot.
Now Mendes has responded in a long Instagram post targeting Bisping. The three-time UFC title contender also addressed his two-year suspension while taking a shot at the United States Anti-Doping Agency.
“Hi Michael Bisping, let’s put some shit in here,” Mendes wrote on Instagram. “When I let USADA suspend me it was because of a banned peptide according to its rules. It is NOT a steroid. Just to put some shit in perspective for assholes like you, too much caffeine in your system is a violation of USADA rules.
“That whole system is the biggest piece of shit ever implemented in the UFC. Unlike all these other guys who were “busted” and made up the worst excuses to roll and face suspension, I owned that shit like a man. “
In 2016, Mendes tested positive for GHRP-6 (a growth hormone-releasing peptide), which he said was the result of using a topical cream for psoriasis. Finally, Mendes admitted his mistake and accepted the two-year sanction issued by USADA.
Mendes ended his tirade by telling Bisping to shut up, or he would send a friend of his to visit the UFC Hall of Fame.
“Now keep my name out of your mouth, old wooden eye that has a puncture before snatching your soul like my son Dan Henderson did,” Mendes wrote.
The photo posted by Mendes was taken just after Henderson knocked out Bisping at UFC 100.
While this might be the most unexpected fight between retired fighters in 2020, the volatility between Mendes and Bisping is not fading. Bisping quickly responded to Mendes’s post and took a screenshot.
“Hahaha, this is amazing,” Bisping wrote. “Do you know what you have in common with all the other traps? You are also a liar liar too. No one admits to being ab * tch. “
