CDC: U.S. Kovid-19 94% of deaths are in poor health

The new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said 94% of those who died after contracting the Covid-19 contract were in poor health.

Our idea bubble, x Xios’ by Sam Baker: This report does not mean that COVID is not as bad as we thought. It is clear from the CVC’s additional death statistics that more people are dying than usual due to covid. The fact that commonly existing medical conditions are often consistent with a fatal coronavirus infection is part of what makes it scary – there is no reason to write it.

Big picture: According to the CDC, the cause of death was listed as the only novel coronavirus in 6% of cases in the US between February 1 and August 22.

  • With conditions or causes as well as for deaths with the novel coronavirus, on average, there were 2.6 additional conditions or causes per death.

Note: The CDC has reported leading underlying medical conditions related to coronavirus death.

  • Influenza and pneumonia.
  • Respiratory failure.
  • Hypertensive disease.
  • Diabetes.
  • Vascular and indeterminate dementia.
  • Cardiac arrest.
  • Heart failure.
  • Renal failure.
  • Intentional and unintentional injuries, poisoning and other adverse events.
  • Other medical conditions.
