A cat returned home to its owner with a note taped to its neck by an angry neighbor who threatened to kidnap it.
Its owner was surprised to discover the three-page anonymous note pasted on the animal, which came with the message: “Stay away.”
The cat, named Gandalf, a Bengal white and Russian blue crossbreed, returned to its owner Chris’s home in Bridgend, Wales, with the note.
The handwritten message was tucked into a plastic bag that was glued to the cat’s fur and neck.
It said, “Please keep your cat home. Your cat comes to my house almost every day, takes food from the table, scratches my couch, spreads fleas in my house.

“I can’t leave the windows of the house open. I’m honestly fed up.
If I ever see your cat at my house again, I promise I’ll take it away somewhere.
“Your cat also spends the night at my house and sleeps in the kitchen. You better feed your cat.”
Chris, 27, and his girlfriend said they don’t feel it safe to let Gandalf out of their home.
He said he had never received a complaint about his four-year-old pet before.
The couple recently put a “do not feed” message on their cat’s collar when they noticed that it was getting a little bigger.
Chris said: “He is a curious little cat, he goes out and makes his rounds, as cats do. People know who he is in the area, he is very sociable and loves people.”
“Even if he visits people, we have never had any complaints about him before. He spends nights and nights in our house.
“He has a charming character and my girlfriend and I have never had a problem with him scratching our furniture.”

Contrary to the note, he added, Gandalf is well-groomed, “very well fed” and “certainly has no fleas.”
Chris said: “I understand that it is shameless of you to enter someone else’s house, but so far we have had no knowledge or control over this.”
“Now he will have to stay indoors for the rest of our time living here.”
