The family of Don Lewis – Carole BaskinThe millionaire man who went missing in 1997, whose story appeared in ‘Tiger King’ – goes all out to find out what happened to him … including placing billboards and offering a reward of $ 100k.
Don’s 3 daughters, in addition to lawyer John Phillips and spokesman for family Jack Smith, announced a series of steps that are currently underway to learn more about his disappearance … which occurred on August 18, 1997, after Don left his home in Tampa.

Don’s daughters say a team is in place, led by Smith, that has restored their hopes of finding out what happened to their father … and they believe Phillips is the lawyer they have been waiting for to get the case to treat.
Along with setting up 4 billboards in Tampa read, “Who Killed Don Lewis?” – which also marks the reward for info – Don’s family spokesman says a cold business group on Facebook started hunting for clues … what he says has already yielded results.
Four of these new billboards offering a $ 100,000 reward from the Don Lewis family are displayed around #Tampa ahead at a press conference Monday. This one is located under the road from the entrance to the Big Cat Rescue. https://t.co/sPk3IxirSp #TigerKing @WFLA pic.twitter.com/W8YrO7WlVv

For example, they looked at details about an installation of septic tanks that were presumably connected to the case, and claimed that they found a discrepancy with what Carole had said earlier about it.
Other revelations at Monday’s press conference include Phillips’ plan to prosecute Baskin – presumably for fatal death – and that the $ 100k reward money was made possible by an anonymous donor. BTW … Carole has denied any involvement in Don’s disappearance.
The team said it would not discuss any further evidence at this time, but TMZs learned that an anonymous letter was sent to Jeff Lowe at the GW Zoo all detail where Don’s body is buried … so claimed the letter writer. We are told that Jeff handed over the letter to authorities.
The family hopes the money and increased interest in the case will lead to someone finally coming up with a helpful tip that will break the cold case open … and result in justice for Don.
As you may know … rumors about the cause of Don’s death were circulated on ‘Tiger King’ by Joe Exotic, who made it clear that he believed Baskin killed him. Although Carole is not a suspect, the sheriff said he is suspected.
Don founded Big Cat Rescue with Carole, who now owns and operates them.
