Carly Rae Jepsen shares new single “Me and the Boys in the Band”: Listen

Carly Rae Jepsen has released a new single called “Me And The Boys In The Band.” A few months ago, Jepsen posted the possibility of a quarantine album, although it is unclear if this is from here or just a one-time record in lockdown. However, it is attached to a music video that used to be shot in quarantine and appears appearances Jack Antonoff, Tavish Crowe, Jared Manerika, and Nik Pesut (aka, the boys in the band).

Earlier this year, they put out Dedicated Side B, a collection of remnants of her latest studio album Dedicated. Later this month, she celebrates it his fifth anniversary with a karaoke party.

Here is Jepsen’s quote about the track:

On the road. That was life. I miss travels and performances and my bandmates who have become my adopted brothers over the years. Through romantic relationships good and bad I have always found myself reunited in late conversations with my band. Here is to all the shows we have played and still have played. The dancers of the late night make us ready for the long bus rides and the tourists we become in the early morning. Here’s to keep nostalgic city and keep those you know best. Can’t wait any longer. Until then a song from home from the house of us all to you. Me and the boys and the band!
