Carly Rae Jepsen misses tournament life in ‘Me and the Boys in the Band’: Watch the video made by Quarantine

Carly Rae Jepsen misses every night with her band dancing in a new city.

The Canadian singer is recalling the pre-pandemic days of touring in her new song “Me and the Boys in the Band,” a tribute to her fast-paced past lifestyle. “Run all night to make that show / I’ll be a whole new girl tomorrow / It’s a new city, so beautiful, eyes closed,” she sings in the glittery new track.

To accompany (and set aside) the release, Jepsen unveiled a video for the song chilling at home, with her band safely dancing out of their respective living spaces and photos of their tour weaving together across the screen.

“On the road. That was life. I miss travels and performances and my bandmates who have become my adopted brothers over the years,” Jepsen said in a press release. “Through romantic relationships good and bad have I always found myself again in the late conversations with my band. Here is after all the shows we have played and still have played. The dancers of the late night we make on the long bus rides and the tourists you we’re in the early morning. Here’s to keep nostalgic city and keep those you know best. Can’t wait any longer. Until then a song from home from the house of us all to you. Me and the boys and the band! Many thanks to Jack Antonoff, Tavish Crowe, Jared Manerika and Nik Pesut for making this jam from a distance. “
