Cardi B says she spoke to Joe Biden and told him “we do not want false promises”

Cardi B has revealed that she spoke to Joe Biden and that she told him if he wanted people to vote for him “we do not want to have false promises.”

In a new interview, the rapper, who earlier this week released her new track ‘WAP’ with Megan Thee Stallion, discusses the presumptive Democratic candidate, the upcoming elections, and the urgency to vote.

Asked how she felt about being ‘stuck with Biden’ after Bernie Sanders – for whom she originally expressed support – dropped out of the race, Cardi said, ‘I’m salty, but I’m okay,’ before they were revealed, ‘I spoke to Joe Biden. ”

Cardi then looked as if someone behind the camera was telling her not to reveal the conversation between the two. After being asked to expand further by host Charlamagne Tha God, she finally went into more detail.

“What I say is that I know him,” she continued. ‘I always felt like Biden balanced Obama because I thought he was conservative and that’s what drove the conservative moods, those in the middle. I know him and everything, I think he gets it and I think he understands the pain of the people. He gets what we want. People think we want so much, but we really want simple things if you really think about it. ”

Cardi said she told the former vice president that he should listen to the demands of the people: ‘I tried to let him know, listen, we do not want to have false promises. We do not want fake shit to get people to vote. This is what we want. Please take care of it. “

Elsewhere in the interview, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ star spoke about Biden’s importance in choosing a black woman as his running mate, the need to ensure that every American can vote during the coronavirus pandemic, and why black women are a good influence policy.

It comes after Cardi explained earlier this week why she’s supporting Joe Biden for the US 2020 presidential race.

‘I think he understands that what we want are simple things, you know what I said? We don’t ask for much, we just ask for certain crazy things, “she said.

Back in April, Cardi B interviewed former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders on Instagram to discuss the economic and health crises fueled by the ongoing pandemic.
