The new Patriots quarterback is wasting no time in meeting one of his future passing goals in New England.
In an Instagram video for The Sideline Hustle, Newton was shown working in a field on the UCLA campus with wide receiver Mohamed Sanu on Tuesday.
Newton and Sanu were frequent opponents of each other when Newton was with the Carolina Panthers and Sanu with the Atlanta Falcons. Now together in New England, they’ll be tasked with taking over Tom Brady and trying to extend an AFC Eastern Division title streak to 12 consecutive seasons.
Both Newton and Sanu are looking to recover after injuries after their 2019 seasons. Newton limited himself to just two games before an injury to Lisfranc ended his last season at Carolina. Sanu slowed down significantly after being transferred to New England last year when he suffered a sprained ankle in his second game with the team.
