Call of Duty: Warzone’s Season 5: Reloaded adds new mode


On August 25, Infinity Ward will update Call of Duty Modern Warfare en Warzone until season 5, which the studio calls Reloaded. This new update brings new modes, maps, operators and the Games of Summer event.

The Summer Games run from August 28 to September 7. Both Warzone en Modern warfare players can enter a series of five trials with one player, competing for points and medals. Players will participate on behalf of their country in various shooting galleries. Infinity Ward will launch the Trials on several dates:

  • Gun Course (Aug. 28) – Clear the course, eliminate enemies, save civilians
  • Price’s Alley (Aug. 29) – clear endless targets with a gun, spare citizens
  • Risky Parkour (Aug. 30) – run through toxic gas to clear the course
  • Shooting Range (August 31) – Destroy all targets in the area
  • Marksman Challenge (Sept. 1) – Quickly kill long-range targets with a sniper rifle

The various Trials offer different rewards for each tier medal a player wins. Infinity Ward has not yet revealed them all, but declared rewards include car skins, XP tokens, car horns, calling cards, and legendary weapon blueprints. Players who earn a gold medal in each trial can earn the Legendary Juliet assault rifle blueprints.

Players’ medals will also contribute to their country, each Infinity Ward has weight by how many participants they have. At the end of the Summer Games, Infinity Ward will declare one national champion, based on how many medals its residents have earned.

Season 5: Reloaded also brings a new weapon Warzone en Modern warfare: de FiNN LMG. Players can earn the weapon through in-game challenges or purchase the Mainframe bundle for a special blueprint. The stated purpose of Infinity Ward with the FiNN is to remove the line between assault rifle and light machine gun, with a more accurate than normal weapon.

Warzone Players will get a new mode called King Slayer. King Slayer is a team deathmatch mode within Battle Royale. The circle does not get smaller, but nevertheless moves across the map – to keep players on their toes and fight in different field courses. There are multiple teams in King Slayer, and the top player in the top five teams will be “kings”. Killing the king rewards bonus points and offers a free Killstreak.

Warzone will also receive a Gunfight tournament during the Games of the Summer. The mode will take place on a new map designed to the field of the Verdansk stadium. Everyone Warzone Players will have free access to Gunfight from August 28 to September 2 for the tournament.

Modern warfare will also get a Ground War variant called Ground War Reinforce. Players must raise three flags in the center of the card to win the round. But players do not live to death again, and must instead spectate until their team catches a flag.

As usual, the games cosmetics store will get a facelift, including Morte, a new Italian operator.
