The first trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare season 5 is here, and it seems to confirm previous reports that loot trains will arrive in Warzone, among other significant additions to the Verdansk map.
Infinity Ward was kind enough to give Twitch streamer NICKMERCS early access to the short trailer, which you can see below:
So, confirmed train. The grainy images show a train in the distance rolling on the tracks that are already present on the Verdansk map. When a helicopter enters the scene from above, the train can be heard honking when the advance ends. The video confirms VGC’s report from last month that Warzone is getting a train full of loot that runs across the map.
The same report says that the giant Warzone map football stadium is opening for indoor play, so expect some major changes with season 5. Speaking of which, the new trailer for Infinity Ward suggests that August 5 is the start date of the new season, which makes sense considering that season 4 ends on August 4.
All of this is exciting on its own, but it’s even more fun when you know that the changes in the war zone are supposed to reveal Call of Duty 2020, which is rumored to be called Black Ops: Cold War. Considering that bunkers, nuclear warheads, and ringing phones fit the narrative connection of the Cold War, these upcoming map changes are intended to bridge the gap between Modern Warfare and the upcoming Call of Duty game.
