The big update for Season 5 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone is coming, and developer Infinity Ward has now offered a few more details on what to expect.
Season 5 introduces Shadow Company, which is a “mysterious new private military company” that is aligned with the Alliance, but only in name.
“An elite PMC, Shadow Company operates outside the limits of the original Armistice. Forged from the fires of infighting between the Coalition and Loyalty, Shadow Company has its own framework and agenda,” Infinity Ward said in a Blog. Send.
Shadow Company is a “dissident group” that has been impatient with Captain Price and his leadership. The squad is arriving at Modern Warfare to “confront terrorist threats directly.”
The Shadow Company includes new Operators Rozlin “Roze” Helms (who was previously aligned with the Jackals faction), along with Velikan and Marcus “Lerch” Ortega.
Lerch is a former U.S. Marine from Plano, Texas, who fought to readjust himself in civilian life, so he joined the private military company. “There is no contract that Lerch does not accept or challenge what he will not face, that is how he is in Verdansk leading the other Shadow Company Operators,” said Infinity Ward.
Fewer details are available for Velikan, who is described as “a shadow of a shadow.”
“The tales of his exploits are dismissed as fairy tales at best and rude exaggerations at worst. Those who know him never speak ill of him. Whether out of fear or respect, no one knows,” said Infinity Ward. .
As for Roze, we know nothing about her beyond her roots with the Jackals.
More details should be available very soon, as Season 5 is expected to launch from the first week of August on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Also coming a new Battle Pass. For now, you can check out the new Season 5 trailer above.
