Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Update increases the score limit on this playlist

It’s a new week, and that means Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the Battle Royale Warzone game are being updated with new stuff to keep things fresh and interesting. Activision announced all the new updates in a blog post, and we’re rounding them up here per game. Playlist updates are now live starting July 14, introducing a variety of new options for you to watch. A small patch was also released on July 14 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, reworking offensive content in the Border War mask, fixing a feat involving picking up Warzone weapons before the filler sequence and tackling a Rytec AMR bug spotlight

Modern Warfare Playlists

Modern Warfare has received a playlist update that adds a new option called Party Mode. This includes One in the Chamber, Gun Game Reloaded and All or Nothing game modes. Also, a 2v2 Gunfight playlist is coming this week.

In addition, Activision added a new playlist 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with 8v8 multiplayer on the new map of Cheshire Park and Shoot House 24/7.

After this addition, the score limit was later increased in the TDM and KC Remixed playlist. The update applies to all platforms.

New microtransaction packages

Activision is launching a new package called Hydra Slayer. Includes two weapons, the Spirit of the Beast SMG and the Soul of the Beast assault rifle. Both are “legendary” weapons.

There’s also the Syd Rogue operating package that comes with a watch, a vehicle mask for the battered load, a business card, and an emblem.

Additionally, Activision has added a new Call of Duty League Champion Pack to purchase in the store. It comes with weapon blueprints to unlock the weapons used by Chicago Huntsmen pro team members, along with their favorite business cards and skins.

A mask that had been added to the game was controversially called “Border War”. This name was changed to “Home on the Range” shortly after.

Warzone Playlists

Warzone is also receiving attention this week as Activision is bringing back the large-scale 50v50 team deathmatch mode, Warzone Rumble, this coming weekend. Additionally, Plunder Trios is now available, along with the usual suspects: Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads. BR Stimulus Trios has been removed as of July 14.

Looking ahead, the purported Warzone Season 5 update is slated to introduce some major changes to the map. The map update is said to be part of how Activision will introduce the new Call of Duty game for 2020, believed to be Black Ops: Cold War.
