Call of Duty Modern Warfare patch notes: Warzone gets 200 players and more with new update

A major Season 4 update heads to Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone courtesy of Infinity Ward and Activision. The new update, called Season 4 Reloaded, is very complex and will begin rolling out tonight, June 29, at 11 p.m. PDT.

Depending on the platform, the update will vary from 22 to 36 GB for Modern Warfare owners and from 22 to 30 GB for Warzone players. Console players will also need to install a secondary 3.5 GB download. Once the installation is complete, Modern Warfare’s fingerprint will increase slightly, while there will be a slight decrease for Warzone.

A host of additions are coming to multiplayer, as well as Battle Royale with the latest update. The developers have also incorporated various weapon settings. Let’s dive into the patch notes released by Infinity Ward, prior to the update.

What’s new in Call of Duty Warzone?

Perhaps the most significant addition is the increased player count of 200 players for the battle royale. For now, it is only applicable to Battle Royale Quads, which means that 50 Quads will jump to Verdansk at once.

Supply supply contracts are also directed at Warzone. After activating the contract, players must arrive at a nearby purchasing station within the time limit to obtain a discount on purchases from the purchasing station.

A new piece of equipment, the Spotter Scope, awaits Warzone players. It is a high-powered, reusable viewfinder without the flare, allowing you to scan your surroundings and mark enemies while remaining undetected.

Additionally, the Gulag will receive semi-automatic rifles, snipers, and a “fists-only and throwing knife” melee charge. BR Trios, BR Duos, BR Solos, and Plunder: Blood Money are the other Warzone modes available.

A new sniper rifle, the Rytec AMR, and a new Operator, Roze, will also join the multiplayer and the battle royale, despite the fact that the patch notes do not mention them.
