‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’ and ‘Warzone’ Season 4 Update Now Available: Here’s What to Expect


Update 06/30/20:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and War zones The big mid-season update is out now. If you started the download last night, you should be ready to play now.

The new update includes quite a few changes to the game, including the nerfs of some of the game’s most powerful weapons like the Grau and the MP5, two fan favorites.

200 player war zone!

Verdansk will now be able to host up to 200 players. Jump into Battle Royale Quads with 200 players!

Supply of execution contracts!

Upon activation, you and your squad (if applicable) will be directed to a nearby purchasing station. Reach within the time limit to get a discount on Buy Station purchases.

Spotter Scope!

Think of this as a high powered telescope without the flash; This reusable scope allows you to scan the environment around you and mark enemies undetected. Perfect for exploring ahead of time, Spotter Scope is a great tool for operators who want to plan their next move while keeping a low profile.

GENERAL ARRANGEMENTS

  • Fixed an issue where players could modify weapons with accessories from other weapons while using a mouse
  • Fixed wording in Daily Challenge “Deploy Killstreak Hand Turret 5 times” to say “Shield Turret”
  • Multiplayer Gains / Losses and Warzone are now recorded as intended by mode
  • Improved stability for PC gamers
  • Fix for Kreuger’s eyes popping out of his character model while performing Brassed Off Execution
  • Fix for some Completion Camouflages that do not apply to Witching Hour (variant AX-50)
  • Fixed a feat in Krovnik Farmland while playing Reinfected Ground War
  • Fixed a bug where CTSFO MIL-SIM sight model gloves did not match the game’s global model
  • Fix for a section of Hardhat that had an invisible collision
  • Fixed a bug where demolition games would not end as expected in overtime
  • Kali Sticks have been added to modes like All or Nothing, Gun Game, Infected and Gunfight
  • Longshots now shows the distance at the feeding point
  • Fixed a bug where Juggernaut HUD items would remain on the screen if the player was crushed by a box
  • Fixed an issue where the player could get stuck in place when throwing a grenade and trying to use a shield turret at the same time
  • If a player casts a Molotov on a severely damaged Deployment Deck, the Deployment Deck will break and the Molotov fire will disappear, but the fire damage remains present for a duration of ~ 20 seconds. This has been fixed
  • Recon drones can now be destroyed with throwing knives
  • Hipfire reticles are now visible in Spectate and Killcam. This will make it easier to tell if a player is using stopping power rounds or slug rounds.

WARZONE

  • Fix for a feat in Boneyard where players could board the destroyed portion of an airplane
  • Gas mask now cracks when you take damage near or inside the circle
  • ‘Team Wiped’ message now appears on Killfeed for all your squad to see
  • Fixed an issue where players could appear below the map after winning their Gulag match
  • Fixed a bug where players using Charly’s Tactical Human Skin or Mara’s Valkryie Skin noticed that their character models were missing from the exfil epilogue in the helicopter
  • The Supply Choppers’ audio is too loud, preventing players from hearing most of the other sounds and communicating with their squad. This has been adjusted
  • During the Supply Chopper event, supply choppers can appear below the map, killing the players located at the top of these locations as they climb the map. This has been fixed
  • Arrangement for the final circle to be too close to areas that players cannot access, such as half the stadium
  • Post-Action Report Now Shows Earned Cash And Placement
  • Fixed rare bug where a player would appear out of bounds after dying out of bounds
  • Fixed a minor issue where radio operator dialog and subtitles for called Killstreaks could incorrectly play the wrong faction
  • Now allow up to three precision airstrikes to be called at once but within a range constraint

WEAPONS

  • The M4 will reload AR magazine when attempting to reload the underbarrel launcher while equipped with the 50 Round Mag accessory. This has been fixed.
  • Braking power is now applied to headshots. Only certain weapons can go from a headshot from 2 shots to one, such as FAL and Oden. This fixes some cases where headshots can sometimes do less damage than body shots when using stopping power.

  • MK2 carbine:
  • Higher speed of movement

  • 2 hits kill min
  • The recoil of the weapon returns to the center more
  • Faster shooting speed
  • FAL: Added a short-range damage rack with a headshot potential
  • AK-47: higher ADS speed
  • CR-56 AMAX: reduced damage range
  • MP5:
  • Decreased damage range
  • Decreased damage range by 10mm
  • Long range damage reduced to 10mm ammo
  • Slight recoil increase to 10mm ammunition
  • Grau 5.56
  • Damage range reduction
  • Slight increase to high frequency recoil
  • Reduced recoil compensation and reduced range in Tempus 26.4 ”Archangel and FSS 20.8” Nexus barrels
  • Shotgun bullets:
  • Increased projectile speed
  • Reduced ad spread
  • Added dynamic hip extension
  • Increased damage range
  • Greater damage to the lower torso
  • Without attachment:
  • Increased weapon recoil
  • ADS decreased with the goal of stability

SPECIAL OPERATIONS:

  • The effectiveness of the decoy grenade against most enemy soldiers has been improved.
  • Operation Harbinger – Fixed issue where some of the white trucks would spawn with no enemies inside them.

SPECIAL OPERATIONS: SURVIVAL:

  • In the weapons store, weapons with purchased gunsmith accessories are now clearly displayed
  • Buy Phase Timer now blinks red when it’s about to run out to help remind players of the next wave
  • Fixed the issue where text chat overlapped with some items in the shop of the Purchase Phase
  • Fixed the issue where players could purchase weapons in the shop while taking them down
  • Fixed the issue where if players voted to ‘Retry’ after failing beyond wave 55, they would start each Purchase Phase with reduced time
  • Fixed a rare issue where players could use Ammunition / Killstreaks while downed

Another great update is coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and War zone tonight.

The Season 4 Reloaded update brings tons of new content to the game, including a 200-player Battle Royale mode for War zone and the new Modern war Multiplayer map, Cheshire Park.

Team Defender returns like new Modern war mode as well, and the new .50 caliber Rytec AMR sniper rifle lands on both MW and War zone

The update itself will be 22-36GB for Modern war owners depending on your system and 22-30GB for Warzone-players only. Ultimately, it won’t make much difference after installation, negligibly increasing the final footprint for Modern war owners and slightly decreasing for War zone

The update itself will be released tonight, June 29 at 11 p.m. PT. That translates to June 30 as it moves east: 2 am ET / 6 am GMT. (You can see what 6am GMT is converted to in your local time here.)

I’m pretty excited about this update, though more about the new one Modern war content that the War zone stuff. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy War zone much. I just found that Modern warfare Various modes, including the excellent 2v2 Gunfight mode, gives me more to do and is less monotonous.
