Call of Duty: Double XP Patch Notes for Modern Warfare / Warzone


The big update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded is out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Along with it, the extensive list of patch notes has been published, which you can see below. The update includes a new special playlist that brings 200 players to Warzone for the first time. Along with that awesome addition, it also finally takes down one of the most powerful weapons in the game.

The update includes a new limited-time mode with Warzone Quads for 200 players, while also introducing new supply and execution contracts. There’s also a new Spotter Scope item that will help snipers move around the map without showing the familiar “flash” that exposes their location. All of this is among the content recently announced as part of the upcoming Season 4 roadmap.

Live until July 7, a double XP weekend is also in effect for both Modern Warfare and Warzone. Applies to weapon XP, standard XP and XP levels.

This new Modern Warfare / Warzone update also makes a number of weapon balance changes. The AX-50 sniper rifle now has a higher range of damage, while the HDR sniper now offers a guaranteed one-hit kill when shooting at the lower torso from any range. The Dragunov sniper rifle now has a faster downward-pointing speed (ADS), while also firing faster.

The AK-47 assault rifle sees its ADS speed increase, while the Grau 5.56 has reduced its damage range, answering calls to finally nerf the Grau. The weapon also sees a “slight increase” in high-frequency recoil, as well as a reduction in recoil compensation and range reduction offerings for the Tempus 26.4 “Archangel and FSS 20.8” Nexus guns. Additionally, all shotgun bullets now have faster speed and higher damage ranges.

There are also plenty of bug fixes in the update, including better PC stability and a fix for an issue that could cause Operator Krueger’s eyes to pop out of his head during a run move. The update also allows you to destroy reconnaissance drones with throwing knives, while the gas masks in Warzone will now crack (limiting your visibility) when you take damage near or within the circle.

The June 29 patch is very large, weighing in at 22-36 GB depending on your platform for those who own the full version of Modern Warfare. Console gamers need to download this, plus a second update of around 3.5GB. Free Warzone players will play a 22-30 GB update.

DATA PACKAGE DOWNLOAD:

Please note that the Reloaded Season 4 update will have a download size of approximately 22-36 GB for owners of the full version of Modern Warfare. Console owners must install a secondary download of approximately 3.5 GB, then restart the game to access Multiplayer, if they wish. As a reminder, console gamers can also choose to uninstall / remove other data packages (eg Special Operations), if they are no longer needed for a smaller overall file size. Once the Season Four Reloaded update is fully completed, it should minimally increase the overall fingerprint of the full Modern Warfare version.

Existing free Warzone players will have a download size of approximately 22GB-30GB, once finished there will be a reduction in the overall footprint on their machines.

  • If a player casts a Molotov on a severely damaged Deployment Deck, the Deployment Deck will break and the Molotov fire will disappear, but the fire damage remains present for a duration of ~ 20 seconds. This has been fixed
  • Recon drones can now be destroyed with throwing knives
  • Hipfire reticles are now visible in Spectate and Killcam. This will make it easier to tell if a player is using stopping power rounds or slug rounds.

WARZONE

  • Fix for a feat in Boneyard where players could board the destroyed portion of an airplane
  • Gas mask now cracks when you take damage near or inside the circle
  • ‘Team Wiped’ message now appears on Killfeed for all your squad to see
  • Fixed an issue where players could appear below the map after winning their Gulag match
  • Fixed a bug where players using Charly’s Tactical Human skin or Mara’s Valkryie skin noticed that their character models were missing from the exfil epilogue in the helicopter
  • Supply Choppers’ audio is too loud, preventing players from hearing most of the other sounds and communicating with their squad. This has been adjusted
  • During the Supply Chopper event, supply choppers can appear below the map, killing the players located at the top of these locations as they move up the map. This has been fixed
  • Arrangement for the final circle to be too close to areas that players cannot access, such as half the stadium
  • Post-Action Report Now Shows Cash Earned And Placement
  • Fixed rare bug where a player would appear out of bounds after dying out of bounds
  • Fixed minor issue where radio operator dialog and subtitles for called Killstreaks could incorrectly play the wrong faction

  • The M4 will reload AR magazine when it tries to reload the underbarrel launcher while it has the 50 Round Mag accessory equipped. This has been fixed
  • Braking power is now applied to headshots. Only certain weapons can go from a headshot from 2 shots to one, such as FAL and Oden. This fixes some cases where headshots can sometimes do less damage than body shots when using stopping power.

SPECIAL OPERATIONS: SURVIVAL:

  • In the weapons shop, weapons with purchased gunsmith accessories are now clearly displayed
  • Buy Phase timer now blinks red when it’s about to run out to help remind players of the next wave
  • Fixed the issue where text chat overlapped with some items in the shop of the Purchase Phase
  • Fixed issue where players were able to purchase weapons from the shop while taking them down
  • Fixed the issue where if players voted to ‘Retry’ after failing beyond wave 55, they would start each Purchase Phase with reduced time
  • Fixed a rare issue where players could use Ammunition / Killstreaks while downed
