Call of Duty 2020: Data Miners Reported to Find Campaign Details, Zombies, and War Zones

Data miners have uncovered a number of interesting potential details about Call of Duty 2020, including notes on Zombies, Warzone, Campaign, and multiplayer maps. Twitter user Prototype Warehouse discovered a set of tags within the game’s files, which appear to have been taken from ‘The Red Door,’ an alleged alpha of this year’s Call of Duty that appeared on the Microsoft Store earlier this week. . Some users have reported that they can download The Red Door, saying it is titled Call of Duty: Black Ops CIA when downloaded.

The phrases posted on Twitter yesterday seem to belong to different modes within the game: the embedded tweet below allegedly contains strings linked to the game’s single player campaign, with titles like “nam_armada, nam_prisoner” and “rus_kgb” suggesting parts of the history. take place in Vietnam and Russia. A leak we reported in May suggested that this year’s Call of Duty game will be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and will return to the historical setting of its eponymous franchise.

Labels for multiplayer maps such as Moscow, Satellite and Tank were also found, and Eurogamer noted that earlier in the year, one of the COD 2020 game leaks featured a map called Tank. Data miners also found references to Warzone such as “duga” and “ski slopes” and a lone tag that is allegedly linked to the game’s Zombies mode, “Silver”.

It’s unclear how any of this ties together in practice at the moment, but evidence is mounting about the supposed make-up of the 2020 Call of Duty game. Some are hoping the game will be officially revealed at this week’s Xbox Games Showcase, although that is still speculation at the moment.
