“We are at an important time in Calaveras County and throughout California when businesses and public spaces have reopened. As more people leave their homes, the risk of exposure and infection to COVID-19 increases, said Dr. Dean Kelaita, Calaveras County Health Officer. He continued: “We must all continue to do our part to keep Calaveras safe and healthy for everyone. That means following simple prevention methods, such as keeping a safe distance from others when you leave your home and wearing a face covering. “

The governor ordered to cover his face throughout the state last week when it was released to the public. Dr. Kelaia emphasizes: “When used correctly, facial coatings can limit the release of drops when an infected person speaks, coughs, or sneezes. The use of these by the general public can really help reduce the spread of COVID-19, “said Dr. Kelaita. Click here for guidance and limited exceptions to ordering.
