This is demonstrated by data from the Bulgarian Association of Supplementary Pension Insurance Companies, provided specifically for the Telegraph.
The first women who will receive the so-called second pension from a private fund, which will complement the payment of the National Institute of Social Security, will reach retirement age and will go on well-deserved vacations in 2021 and 2022.
About 20% of them will meet the conditions for a life pension, according to the association.
People born after December 31, 1959 are insured in the Universal Pension Fund (UFP). The amount of the contribution is 5% of the insurance income.
In accordance with the changes in the Social Security Code prepared by the Ministry of Social Affairs, the minimum amount of the PFI life pension is 15% of the minimum pension for seniority and age of the State Social Security.
Starting in January next year, this minimum pension becomes BGN 300. Therefore, the life pension of a private fund must be at least BGN 45 per month.
