“We are not fighting for executive power at all costs.” This was told to BNR by MRF Vice President Yordan Tsonev. She clarified that her goal is for her program priorities to be accepted by management:

“The current type of majority, just to have 121 people, chaotic programs and chaotic investments do not work. Our task is to restore statehood and dialogue between institutions.”

According to Tsonev, it is not understandable why all political formations are afraid to pack with the MRF:

“I don’t understand. Now they will start some oaths on TV and radio about how they will not pack up with the MRF, and then a persecution of the MRF on the sidelines and in the institutions will begin to help and strengthen the state of NATO and Europe. “This is behind the microphones and the cameras. This is what has happened so far: there is no political party that does not chase us in the corridors. The MRF will do everything possible to stop this hypocrisy. “

The MRF vice president commented that since 2017 they have warned that the crisis between President Rumen Radev and the Executive Branch will destroy inter-institutional dialogue and statehood:

“We have never fired poison arrows. If we evaluate the president, it is in line with his actions and our idea of what the president should be … We have not participated in the destruction of dialogue, but we have criticized that this is happening. We have demanded the resignation of both the president and the prime minister during the crisis. “

Tsonev insisted that the MRF does not hold talks with GERB in support of Boyko Borissov in his eventual candidacy for the presidency:

“Rumen Radev must be much more careful in the words he says. He must be the unifier of the nation and a bridge between the individual parts. He must be the bridge between all, not to explode the dialogue.”

In relation to Prime Minister Borissov’s words that he has nothing to do with MRF MP Delyan Peevski, Tsonev said:

“I don’t know when Mr. Borissov is right, when he says that Mr. Peevski has done a lot with the laws he introduced and with everything he did during the pandemic crisis … We don’t think about parting ways with anyone because we like it our party and our electorate, Mr Peevski. If it depends on the party, there will be no such separation. “

According to the vice president of the MRF, compromising trust in the electoral process is dangerous.

Yordan Tsonev said that the MRF is for 100% machine voting, but they were not heard during the latest change to the Election Code.
