The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology / NIMH / issued for today a warning of the first degree – yellow code, for significant precipitation or strong wind in a total of 16 districts of the country.
Today there will be significant rainfall in the districts: Sofia district, Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Smolyan, Kardzhali and Haskovo.
A strong wind will blow in eastern Bulgaria: in Ruse, Silistra, Razgrad, Shumen, Targovishte, Dobrich, Varna and Burgas.
Rains from the west will cover most of the country at dusk. Significant amounts are expected in the southwestern regions.
At night, as temperatures drop, the rain in northwestern Bulgaria will turn to snow.
In the mountains it will be cloudy, with rains, more than 1800 meters – of snow, with the expected cooling in the afternoon and in the low areas, up to about 1000 meters, the rain will turn into snow. In the afternoon and evening against Tuesday there will be conditions for winds along the passes, inform the NIMH.
