Wizz Air has informed its customers that it has to cancel its Sofia-London Luton and London Luton-Sofia flights between April 25-27, 2020 on short notice.
The cancellation of flights is the result of fruitless negotiations that Wizz Air has with the responsible authorities to obtain permission to repatriate Bulgarians from the United Kingdom and allow a large number of passengers who wish to leave for London.
Unlike other airlines, Wizz Air did not receive a permit to operate repatriation flights, which would help reunite dozens of Bulgarian families, the company said.
The airline will continue negotiations in this regard on all available official channels and expects a positive result to help many Bulgarians return home. Although the decision to cancel the flight is out of the airline’s control, Wizz Air sincerely apologizes to passengers for the inconvenience.
