42 Levski fans were arrested after last night’s soccer derby with Botev from Plovdiv. All were convicted by fast track procedure.

During the football game in the agitation of the visiting team a conflict arose and a fight broke out. between supporters of warring factions – “Ultras Levski” and “Sofia West”.

To avoid tensions, during the “Levski” and “Gerena” matches, the two agitators are accommodated in different sectors.

The two groups of fans have been in conflict for six years, and the misunderstanding between them has led to a split between the factions that unite the Southern Division and the Blue Board. And the reason – “Ultras Levski” accuses “West” of exhausting the club and twisting the arms of leadership.

“Sofia West” attacks the fans that escaped in Sector A for lying, inaction and not contributing anything to the development of the club. To get to this season, when instead of jumping together in the stands, they jump each other. And not for the first time.

“A similar incident took place in Montana. The police have been informed that provocations and incidents are expected here in Plovdiv,” said the lawyer for the detainees.

Botev declined to comment on why they allowed the agitators at war to be in the stands.

All those convicted under the fast track procedure were sanctioned with community service between 60 and 120 hours and a ban on attending sporting events for two to two and a half years.

The leaders of the two factions did not pick up their phones for comment. Excesses will be discussed by the Levski Board of Directors. So far, the club has refrained from comment.
