Alexander Andreev, who GERB nominated earlier today for president of the CEC, is a lawyer and doctor of law. Andreev has been with the CEC since 2007 and has been its spokesperson for the last two terms of the commission.
Andreev has more than 20 years of legal experience. In the previous composition of the commission he was nominated by the BSP, and in the current one he was nominated by GERB.
In addition, Andreev, 53, is a professor of private international law at the New Bulgarian University. He is also a professor of competition law in the European Union.
He graduated from Sofia University with a law degree and later obtained a law degree from NBU. She has a master’s degree in accounting and control from the University of National and World Economy.
Andreev is also a mediator in civil and commercial disputes. He speaks three languages: English, Spanish and Italian.
