Michael Ryan, who runs the WHO emergency program, said experts would visit the Chinese city of Wuhan, where the first cases of KOVID-19 were identified last December.
According to him, quarantine measures will be agreed for the international team.
“The objective of the mission is to go to the original place where the human cases were found,” he said.
He said the world should be happy with the arrival of vaccines, but “the next three to six months will be difficult.”
Ryan seemed to be alluding to North and South America, where nearly three-quarters of the world’s infections are found. According to him, the spread of the virus is likely to increase in countries that already have a significant increase in cases, adds BTA.
