On Monday night, participants in another anti-government protest gathered outside the IMRO headquarters in Sofia to express their disagreement with the party’s support of Boyko Borissov’s cabinet. However, they were flooded from the top floor of the building, as there were still people at the party headquarters at the time.
BNT reported that the door of the building was broken by protesters, two people were arrested. IMRO clarified on Monday that MEP Angel Djambazki was not in the building during the unrest.
Today, VMRO MP Iskren Veselinov told BTV that VMRO’s “mad heads” had dispersed the protesters with a jet of water as the police arrived. “There were two security guards and several of our young people in the building. I don’t know if Angel Djambazki was there, but he reacted in the same way that the IMRO president would have reacted,” Veselinov added.
The reason for the MP’s comment was images posted on YouTube this afternoon, showing that the man who flooded the protesters with water resembles MEP Angel Djambazki. Watch the video and judge for yourself.
