According to the doctor, there was a high probability that the causative agent of COVID-19 would lose weight during certain parts of the year and return in others. “Such a development is quite possible. Honestly, I cannot predict exactly when this might happen, but I remain optimistic on this issue,” he said.
Kluge also noted that the eventual transformation of the disease into a seasonal infection would facilitate the fight against COVID-19.
According to Kluge, at this stage it was difficult to say that any progress had been made in the fight against the deadly disease.
“We must continue to wear masks and keep our distance,” he added.
