Plovdiv Mayor Zdravko Dimitrov was greeted with resignations in Saedinenie Square, a journalist said. Plovdiv24.bg.

Shortly after 8.30 pm, a ceremonial fireworks display was scheduled on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of the Unification of Bulgaria and the Plovdiv City Festival.

The event was honored by the President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, the Deputy Prime Minister Iliana Yotova, His Eminence Metropolitan Nikolay of Plovdiv, the Regional Governor of Plovdiv – Dani Kanazireva, and other high-ranking representatives of the institutions of our country.

However, the protest, which started from Central Square to Saedinenie Square, was met with shouts of disapproval, resignations and boos from Mayor Zdravko Dimitrov.
