With the new year come changes. The minimum wage and pension increases will take effect tomorrow. Water prices will also be different, sums up Nova TV.
As of January 1, the minimum wage is higher: BGN 650 than the previous BGN 610. The minimum pension will also change from tomorrow. Seniors will now receive at least 300 BGN. Until the end of March, an additional 50 BGN of aid remains.
There will also be changes in water prices. For seven districts of the country, they will rise on the first day of 2021. In Sofia and Razgrad with the majority, about 6%, and with less in Varna, Plovdiv, Pernik, Pleven and Kardzhali. In 16 other areas, however, prices are falling.
The opportunity to request compensation of BGN 24 per day for closed companies continues, known as the “Keep me” measure. Previously, the cabinet decided to change the measure in question. Through it, workers will receive 75% of their income from insurance, compared to October 2020. However, it will be published in the Official State Gazette before it comes into effect.
