Despite the new restrictions, restaurants and nightclubs are frantically collecting New Year’s reservations. Many of them have even taken a deposit. This showed an inspection of restaurants in the country.

The restaurants of the capital accept reservations for December 31, even offering up to a 30% discount on the price of the envelope, if the table is reserved now. We step into the role of customers and try to reserve a table for the holidays. Success comes with the first call.

The envelopes range from 100 to 160 lems. The establishments in question have already announced festive New Year menus on their websites. These include salads, cold appetizers, various main dishes, and desserts.
The order of the Minister of Health of November 25 clearly states that private meetings with the presence of more than 15 people are not allowed. However, most restaurants believe that this does not concern them.
There are many restaurants that do not want to take risks.
“A lot of restaurants caught fire. We had other similar inquiries, 50 people each. I’m constantly watching, I’m interested, they really attract people and block from the inside,” says the industry.

“What will our colleagues do, who can organize something, will it organize, whether with friends, acquaintances or strangers? If the headquarters thinks that people will not celebrate Christmas and New Years, then they are in terrible error,” said Richard. Alibegov, president of the Bulgarian Restaurant Association.
However, the industry insists that out-of-rule bookings are the exception rather than the rule.
