Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic inaugurated the Turkish Stream gas pipeline in Serbia this morning, and natural gas from Russia has started flowing into the country., informs TASS.
The ceremony took place at the fourth gas metering station in the village of Gospodjintsi near Novi Sad. Also in attendance were the Russian ambassador to Serbia, Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko, the executive director of Serbiagas, Dusan Bayatovic, and representatives of the Russian companies that built the pipeline.
According to the president the pipeline will create the conditions for the influx of investors into the country.

The Serbian section of Russia’s Turkish Stream gas pipeline comes from Bulgaria and goes to Hungary. The stretch of our western neighbor is 403 km long and its design capacity is 13.9 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
