Vratsa’s lawyer, Rumyana Todorova, and her daughter Denitsa are already in Sliven prison to serve their sentences after a specialized court handed down effective sentences. Rumyana Todorova was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months and Denitsa to 2 years and 10 months in prison. The sentences came after an agreement with the prosecution.
In the spring of last year, Rumyana Todorova, her daughter Denitsa, along with Ivaylo Borisov and Ivaylo Todorov, were arrested. The group was charged with raising money for issuing false documents, placing seniors in nursing homes, and property fraud.
Todorova and Denitsa were also arrested in March of last year following a CDCOC action for property fraud, but the court released them with lesser measures. They were then charged with property fraud, use of false documents and illegal placement of seniors in shelters with two other men. Firearms, ammunition and drugs were later found on the property of his close friend Ivo Borisov-Borkata.

In another room, used by the group, they found a cutter to make counterfeit coin dies with a nominal value of 1 lev and a bomb with 400 g of TNT with remote control and a magnet.
The investigation showed that it was intended to be placed under the car of a Vratsa judge.
The guarantor of the attack was the lawyer Rumyana Todorova, and the motive was a case that the judge was analyzing impartially and not as the lawyer wanted. According to sources familiar with the court and the investigation, the improvised explosive device was intended for the head of the Vratsa district court, Vasil Ganov.
Judge Ganov was attacked with fire once in September 2018. Then the personal car parked in front of his apartment was deliberately set on fire. Two days after the fire, Emil Valchev, known for his criminal activities, was arrested for the crime. According to unofficial information, Valchev, 35, was also arrested during the action against Todorova’s lawyer’s office, but it is not yet clear whether he has anything to do with the planned murder.
During a new operation at the Todorova lawyer’s office, the anti-mafia found false stamps from the specialized prosecutor’s office, the Ministry of Justice, the municipality and the police in Vratsa, as well as notaries and companies.
In March, the specialized prosecution charged the lawyer Rumyana Todorova and her daughter Denitsa, as well as their accomplices in the criminal group, Ivaylo Todorov and Ivo Borisov-Borkata. Both have been convicted of fraud. Todorov transformed into various roles to commit fraud: student, school principal, prosecutor, and many others.
He persuaded the victims to use the services of the lawyer Todorova. She was one of Vratsa’s most lucrative and expensive defenders, who has been suspected of breaking the law for years.
