The turnout at 12 noon was only 18.4%, according to data from the Central Electoral Commission (CEC). Compared to 2017, when the previous parliamentary elections were held, there is a lag of more than 7.6 percentage points. As the day progresses, the difference between the activity of the two elections increases, since at 10:00 am it was below 1 percentage point.
At noon, only 1,183,667 people had voted, or 571,000 fewer than the comparable time in 2017.
Sociological agencies have started pulling exit polls, with most of them saying that the gap between the first and second parties is widening in favor of the leading party. The distance between the second and third is shortened, as the difference is reduced to only 4-5 percentage points.
The largest participation was registered in Sliven – 24.87%, in Montana – 24.13%, in Silistra – 23.81%, in Lovech – 22.41%, the Sofia region – 22.23% and in Vidin – 22.14%. The lowest activity is in Kardzhali – 12.13% and in Plovdiv – 12.96%. In the three DECs in Sofia: activity in 23 is 17.61%, in 24 – 16.09% and in 25 – 14.33%.
