Tensions between police and protesters in front of the old Party House in Sofia. The representatives of the gendarmerie were sent to the scene with shields to calm the tension.
The police dispersed tear gas. According to the Interior Ministry, some 20 representatives of the security forces were gassed. Tomatoes, eggs and bottles of mineral water, as well as stones, blew up the police, reports Nova TV.
The protesters began to break up the gendarmerie buses and, in response, the uniformed men began to push them. The uniformed officers used spicy spray against the Protestant raids.
Dondukov Boulevard is blocked by police vans with gendarmerie vans. In practice, access to the entrances to the former party house is closed and direct contact between the protesters and the deputies who come to work is frustrated. Thick police cordons surround the entire building of the old Party House. There are many gendarmerie and special police forces from all over the country in the surrounding streets.
