Footballer Vanya Djaferovic found himself at the epicenter of a strong earthquake that shook Croatia today.
He posted photos on Facebook with his son and wrote: “And an earthquake can’t stop us.”
Remember that the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.2 on the Richter scale. It was recorded this morning at 6.28 local time / 7.28 Bulgarian time / in the Zagreb area, Croatian national television HRT reported.
The earthquake was followed by a 4.9 magnitude earthquake at 6.49 am, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center.
Bozidar Skrinjaric, mayor of Pokupsko municipality near the epicenter of the earthquake, with a population of around 3,000, said people fled their homes after the earthquake.
“There are no buildings collapsed, but people have seen cracks in the buildings and fallen tiles,” the mayor said.
