Snowfall in the Varna region caused great headaches for travelers. No one has been evacuated, but there are stranded cars abandoned.
In the Kamenar village area there are still cars stuck from last night. Some of them have been vandalized.
There are broken windows and side mirrors. The cars are expected to be towed later in the day so that the section of road can be cleared and traffic can be restored, BNT reported.
Meanwhile, two municipalities, Suvorovo and Dolni Chiflik, have declared a partial state of emergency. However, the main roads Varna – Dobrich and Dobrich – Balchik were opened early this morning.
Due to bad weather and snow storms in Dolni Chiflik municipality, two settlements have been isolated and there is no access to them.
“The municipality has managed to supply the basic needs with chain equipment: water and bread,” said Stoyan Pasev, regional governor of Varna.
The partial state of emergency in the Suvorovo municipality has not yet been lifted. Some of the roads are impassable, but they are being cleared. Power is restored everywhere.
