The Manchester United and Chelsea teams disappointed with their performance and recorded the second zero draw since the start of the season after the start of the Premier League (0: 0). Both teams tried to taunt each other, but in the end the cautious approach of the teams of Solskjaer and Lampard. Still, most of the situation was at United’s expense, but the brilliant interventions of “blues” guard Edward Mandy neutralized their attempts. Edinson Cavani made his debut with the hosts, who after an hour of play entered the field and created some headaches for the “blue” defenders.
In this way, both teams saved their positions. Manchester United remain 15th with seven points, while Chelsea is sixth with nine points.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer bet on the same team that started a week ago against Newcastle. This meant that newcomer Edinson Cavani would have to wait for his debut. The Uruguayan was on the bench for the start. There are three changes from the game with PSG. Tuanzebe, Teles and Martial gave up their seats to Maguire, Mata and James.

Both teams started very cautiously, as positions in front of both gates were missing for a significant part of the match.
Shortly after half an hour of play, United wanted a penalty after Aspilicueta stopped McTomini in the area in a corner for the Red Devils, but the referee did not miss. In the same situation, Fernandes put Mendy to the test with a mid-range shot that went straight into the hands of the French guard. In the 35th minute, Marcus Rashford went ahead of the Chelsea defense with a perfect pass from Juan Mata. The Englishman shot diagonally, but Mandy hit a corner with her right foot.
In the 40th minute Edward Mandy made another good save. Rashford tried it in parallel in the Chelsea penalty area and combined with Mata. The Spaniard struck with his left foot, but Mandy punched the side, after which the VAR intervened to see if there was a violation against the English striker Cante y Silva. After the examination it was clear that there was no violation and play continued.
Shortly before an hour passed, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gave Edinson Cavani the opportunity to make his official debut after joining Old Trafford. Bruno Fernandes snapped the ball into a corner kick, and Cavani overtook Havertz and shot with the outside of his leg, but the ball passed inches from Mandy’s side post, out.
Right after that, Chelsea had a good chance. Reese James crossed very well down the right, but Havertz missed his head, and Pulisic missed the ball after him. In the first minute of added time, Aspilicueta blocked a centered ball and sent it to Rashford’s right foot. He made a powerful diagonal shot, but Mandy again showed a brilliant reflection and the “Red Devils” attempted goal was neutralized.
The starting lineups of both teams:
Man United (4-2-3-1): De Gea – One Bissau, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw – McTominay, Fred – Mata, Fernandes, James – Rashford
Chelsea (5-3-2): Mandy – James, Aspliqueta, Thiago Silva, Zuma, Chilewell – Giorgino, Cante, Pulisic – Werner, Havertz
