After an extremely dramatic race at Monza, an unexpected winner was reached at the Italian Grand Prix. AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasley achieved his first career victory, leaving behind McLaren’s Carlos Science and Racing Point’s Lance Stroll.
Lando Norris came in fourth, followed by Valteri Botas and Daniel Ricciardo, and six-time world champion Lewis Hamilton finished seventh after serving a 10-second penalty.
FIA judges have been investigating Hamilton’s entry into the pits on suspicion that cars were not yet allowed to enter the pit lane.
After a delay, the stewards punished Hamilton by going through the pits and staying there for ten seconds. This sent the Briton to last position, from which he managed to fight his way to seventh place in the final.
