The swimming doping scandal has sparked new tensions and strong comments among the leaders of the national team. On one side was the eighth in the World Cup Anthony Ivanov, and on the other the rising stars Yosif Miladinov and Kaloyan Lefterov. All three won quotas for the Tokyo Olympics this summer.
Anthony Ivanov has stated that he will not set up camp for the national team again until the leadership of the Bulgarian Swimming Federation and the coaching staff resign. So far this has not happened, and yesterday the Board voted in favor of the general manager of the national team Kristian Minkovski and Dr. Lyubomir Petrov. At the same time, the national team appeared at a camp at the Dianabad swimming complex and began preparations for the next European Championships.
All of this made Anthony Ivanov, who studies and trains in the United States, explode on social media.
“There will be no truth or change. They all drank the same, who was caught, trapped. The most unfortunate thing is that I expected more from some people who shut up and hide because they are afraid. You cannot be a great athlete if you are not a great person. To hide in Dianabad and that’s it. From now on, if someone preparing for these camps is going to set world records, I won’t believe they are clean. It’s funny. Recognizing these words, the other two with Olympic quotas, Yosif Miladinov and Kaloyan Lefterov, responded:
“Who’s hiding a joker ?! You are already exaggerating with these statements of yours. If you have something for us or for me, I’ll wait when you come to tell me in the eye! ”Miladinov wrote.
“What are we hiding from, I can not understand? I can no longer hear his statements. No morals!” Lefterov also wrote.
