Two teachers, from Shumen and Razgrad, died from the coronavirus on Sunday, local media and correspondents reported. Thus, the total number of deceased teachers from COVID-19 became three. A teacher died in Targovishte last week.

The director of the Assen Zlatarov Professional School of Public Catering and Chemical Technologies in Shumen announced the death of his colleague to the Monitor newspaper. The 49-year-old teacher died in the MHAT-Shumen intensive care unit following complications from COVID-19 late Sunday. The deceased’s sister, also a high school teacher, also has coronavirus, but her condition is relatively good. The two women felt bad last Friday.

At the moment there are no students in secondary school with positive results. Two young people are in quarantine due to positive tests in their families. A complete disinfection will be performed at the high school.

The Razgrad information site “Razgrad 24/7” reports on a deceased teacher from the “NY Vaptsarov” primary school. The tragic news was confirmed by the school principal. As soon as she felt bad, the 48-year-old teacher was hospitalized and quarantined. She was later diagnosed and had no contact with students or colleagues. Last week, the woman’s condition worsened and she had to be hospitalized, passing away on Sunday.
