Five people were killed after two small planes collided in midair in western France on Saturday afternoon, the Daily Mail reported.

There were two people on board in one plane and three in the other, a DA40. “The confrontation took place around 4.30 pm local time in Los, Ender e Loir,” said local government spokeswoman Nadia Segier.

After the collision, one of the planes crashed into the fence of a house and the other a few hundred meters further into an uninhabited area, local authorities said.

About fifty firefighters and thirty policemen were dispatched to the scene of the accident, as well as experts to investigate the air accidents.
