1921 are the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our country according to data from the national operational headquarters, as of 5 pm today. 10 new more proven cases. 5 of them are in the Pazardzhik district, 4 in the Kyustendil region and 1 in the Vratsa region. The laboratories continue to operate.

389 have confirmed COVID-19, housed in medical institutions. 56 of them are in intensive care units and clinics.

206 are medical personnel with confirmed coronavirus infection. This is 11% of all identified cases of COVID-19.

And the crisis in Yambol is deepening. Local authorities are considering disinfecting the Roma neighborhood from the air. And the shortage of doctors is critical. In addition to overcrowded wards, Yambol Regional Hospital is suffocating due to severe staff shortages. “New patients are constantly coming in. There are a lot of calls to the Emergency Center from these patients. We need more nurses and volunteers, of course there is a need. Everyone is welcome and their help will be helpful,” he said. So far, the only volunteer is the mayor of Topolovgrad. The mayor joined the frontline triage in the battle with COVID-19. Yambol Mayor donated two of his salaries to doctors on the front line. He called kindergarten and school nurses who were not working to help his colleagues at the hospital. There is also a call to a private hospital in the city, and in the Roma neighborhood, where the source of the infection was found, air disinfection is approaching.

Suspension of state benefits by violators is a measure required by Yambol. The data of the people on whom the acts have been written will be delivered to social services on Monday.
