The Health Minister told another public lie. He said the country has not yet crossed the 300 confirmed cases per 100,000 inhabitants in two weeks, but only in the last week.
Also, ten days ago, Minister Angelov denied for several days that we had crossed the limit of 200 confirmed cases per 100,000 inhabitants. There is something manic and pathological about lying in this way in search of easily verifiable facts.
Here are the facts: according to data published by the Ministry of Health, in the period from February 22 to March 7, 23,642 people were infected. The country’s population, according to outdated data from the INE, but not newer, is approximately 6.952 million people. Anyone can divide these two numbers and get 340 per 100,000 people.
