Reconstruction of the 6-kilometer route began in October 2019. The section between zh.k. Mladost and Gorublyane were closed on June 14 this year.

The two-lane road is widened into two lanes with 3 lanes in each direction, a middle dividing strip, dividing strips between the premises and the direct route, 2 local lanes and sidewalks.

The new Ring Road route will provide a connection between the Struma and Trakia motorways, facilitate transit traffic from the Europe Motorway and link to the border checkpoints with Turkey and Greece. The investment is 142.7 million BGN, and the deadline to complete the modernization is spring 2021.
