In every difficult moment he teaches lessons, both human and social and economic. May we be good enough students. Undoubtedly, Bulgarian society and economy cannot remain in quarantine mode forever. We do data analysis every day. The government is eager to loosen the measures, but this poses many risks and may lead to the most unfortunate scenario in which we have taken measures early, and in the relaxation the situation will worsen, Donchev said.
I want the measures to be liberalized as soon as possible. This will happen smoothly, in stages, with the risks involved, the main factor, he said.
Some countries are loosening the measures, but they are much stricter than ours. Bulgaria has the most liberal measures after Sweden, our advantage is that we introduced them early, Donchev noted.
The vice premier announced that, according to the data he has, 55-60% of our country’s economy works. The crisis affects everyone differently. There are entire sectors that are currently frozen, but some industries have additional orders. However, the Bulgarian economy is extremely export oriented and if we lose our foreign markets it means economic catastrophe, Tomislav Donchev emphasized.

He also commented on the small business support program with a grant of 173 million leva. According to him, the procedure for receiving money is very simple, without a form and is carried out through the MIS system. I am convinced that for small businesses this will be a great help, Donchev said.
According to him, in order not to suffer parliamentarism in an emergency situation, online sessions of the National Assembly can be organized, including an online audience of Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.
