One of the most famous athletes, Tiger Woods, was seriously injured in a car accident near Los Angeles on Tuesday, overseas media reported.

“Tiger Wuids crashed his car this morning in California with several broken legs,” said his agent Mark Steinberg. “Now he is in the operating room and we appreciate his support and discretion,” he added.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the emergency team responded to the accident after a call around 7:12 a.m. local time. Tiger Woods could not get out of his vehicle on his own and had to intervene with special pliers cutting sheet metal. The vehicle suffered serious damage in the impact, reports one of the Los Angeles Police Department sheriffs. At the moment there is no more information about his status.

A helicopter on state television showed the scene of the accident, which clearly shows the badly damaged car, whose airbags were opened. The debris had flown to a nearby hill. Woods, whose first name is Eldrick, was the only passenger in the car, police said.
